DR. Anil Bhandari – a man of integrity. An epitome of kindness and humanity, whose life has been a living testimonial of selfless services rendered to the society in various ways for past 25 years. Be it helping the needy through medical aids or contributing ofr the education of poor students, restoration of a forgotten monument or providing relief to the regions devastated by natural calamities, DR. Bhandari has always set an example of compassion for others to follow.
A science graduate from Devi Ahilya University, he laid the foundation for various movements in order to alleviate the sufferings of the poor and downtrodden. One among these is ‘Sahayata’ which has been at forefront in humanitarian service. Every month it provides medical aid of Rs. 95 lacs to the poor patients. DR. Bhandari has also been actively involved in helping people whose lives have been devastated by natural calamities. His role was instrumental in providing relief to the cyclone-hit population of Orrisa and also to the victims of Gujarat earthquake tragedy.
As a general secretary of Indore Gaurav Foundation, DR. Bhandari took the challenge of restoration of the historical rajwada. In yet another initiative – HELP (Higher Education Library Project) taken by him, free textbooks have been provided to more than 10,000 students so far. As the general secretary of Shri Vardhman Seva Kendra, DR. Bhandari offered life saving drugs to more than 3500 patients. Recently, he also organized 2 mega health camps, which saw more than 6000 patients being treated absolutely free for 3 and 5 days. Also thousands of handicaps were provided with essential medical equipments.
As the Chief Co-ordinator of “Green Indore Movement” and Project Director of “Sangeet Kala Academy, Indore”, Shri Bhandari has been promoting various environmental and cultural activities too. Not to mention th a deep interest he has taken in encouraging the sport activities of Indore, especially Badminton.
He is also actively associated with Deepchand Bhai Gardi Charitable Trust, Mumbai from last 26 years, looking after and carrying out their charitable projects in M.P. of more than Rs. 22 crore.
Being a reputed state Badminton player in his school and college days he has also actively worked in developing the sports activities of Indore especially Badminton.
The fact, which is even more worthwhile, is that under the guidance of DR. bhandari, all the strategies meant for various noble causes were implemented with such expertise that even in very limited resources, the initially seem-to-be-impossible targets were successfully accomplished.
Little wonder, Shri Anil bhandari’s constant social endeavors have won him accolades by a number of prestigious organizations and people. Indeed, he is the PRIDE OF INDORE.
